This weekend the Honda Dream Team won their first race of the Australian Summer Series in Noosa.

Tiffany Cromwell, Josephine Tomic and I took time off the bike after the World Champs and Commonwealth Games so we had planned for our other two riders; Mel Hoskins and Peta Mullens to be in top form for our first race.

Peta and Mel put themselves in every move from the start and after just 10-15 minutes of the race, they decided to put some pressure on their small group. Peta and Mel rode away/off the front TOGETHER- just the two of them! They worked together until the end of the race, finishing 1st and 2nd over 30 seconds ahead of the 3rd placed rider!

Dubai; End of Season Holiday 13th-21st of October.

Many people often ask me-what do you do for fun? I appear to be a very serious person so I read this question as- you seem to be a little boring!

The thing is, I am a very serious person especially during the race season and when talking business. But, I do have my fair share of fun! I’ll tell you in a minute what I do for fun but first….

While I was competing at the Commonwealth Games my mother who lives in Dubai was very sick. My step father David was there at the hospital everyday and while mum’s condition was not improving after one week in hospital, I was told she might not make it through… but once again, the tough cookie survived another scary battle.

When I arrived in Dubai a couple of days after the Commonwealth Games mum was released from Hospital and only needed to return for half days. The first thing I did with Mum was sat down and watched the end of the Commonwealth Games race on YouTube.

Honda Cyclist Triumphs At Commonwealth Games

Rochelle Gilmore, team leader of the Lotto Honda Ladies Team, sprinted to victory and a gold medal in the Road Race at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Gilmore, who entered her first BMX race at the age of three, now combines world-class cycling with a successful business career, which includes her own clothing label. In the summer months she works and trains in Italy, competing across Europe with her Lotto Honda Cycling Team.
